Here we go

I have started up the Air Force ROTC again. Its been good. This is my 2nd year, or "Field Training Preparation" year. So these next 2 semesters are going to be very physical and mental as they prepare me to go do my best in field training. I won't go until sometime next summer. Already I have improved the shape I'm in, and even though its really hard I'm excited for this next year.

Oh The Irony.........

So I started a new job as a parking enforcer for a company called Parkway Authority.  It pays pretty well.  I looked for a job all summer, and so I jumped on the opportunity.  Even I know it is not a very desirable job.  It's not very bad.  I go around different apartment complex's in provo and orem and put a boot on people's cars who have parked illegally.  I have really only been yelled at once.  And the technically wasn't even yelling at me, he was yelling at my manager.  Most people realize they parked illegally and they are just pissed they got caught.  So I put the boot on, and take it off if they pay $65.  I am still working at Little America for now until I decided if I wanna keep doing this for a while.

Here is a picture of the boots we use.

So here comes the Irony!  We have the capabilities to open people's doors when they lock their keys in their car.  It is one of the services offered by the company.  However, most the time they just tell them to call the police.  I don't too the door opening, the managers do.  So I was on call the other day studying at the UVU library (that just means I go take boots off if someone calls) and I had two people call and ask if I could come let them into their car cause they had locked their keys in their car.  I just told them to call the police and they would come do it for free. Twenty minutes later I was walking out of the library to go to my car and I started reaching for my keys, and sure enough they weren't in my pocket!  They were sitting on my front seat of my car.  The first time in my nearly 7 years of driving I locked my keys in my car.  I felt so stupid.  I had to call the parking people at UVU to come let me into my car.  When the parking lady showed up I explained the irony to her and she thought it was so funny.  So I guess the wheels on the bus go round and round.

What the heck.......

So a few days ago I looked at my blog and there was almost 1,000 hits total since I first created this thing back in March.  I was pretty excited, I thought that was a good achievement.  Not too shabby, eh?  So tonight I got on to show Amanda the post about her ring and there are almost 12,000 hits!  WHAT THE HECK!!! I wanna know who has been looking at my blog that much?  And if it is one person, why they don't have anything better to do with their lives (mom if its you I take that comment back).  So thanks to all you who read my blog.  I'll try to update it a little more often now that I know its becoming a hot commodity.

A nice ring to it

Well some of you who don't live in Utah have requested to see what Amanda's ring looks like.  Here it it.  I really like it, and so does she (thats why I picked it out).  I feel like I did a pretty good job.  She had no idea that I had even been looking at rings, so it was a complete surprise, which is what I wanted to happen.  There is the engagement band that has the main diamond on it (.78 Carat!) and a little accent diamond, then the wedding band is separate with another accent diamond.  They of course will sodder the bands together when we get married.  She can't stop looking at it, so I guess thats a good sign.
